An unexpectedly excellent day's racing!
At 1230 the South lake was like a mill pond. A few ripples appeared around 1300 towards mark 9 and built steadily. In the end the wind was constant for the whole race and delivered an unexpectedly good day's racing.
The results are interesting! Volante had an issue with her spinnaker and sailed half the race without it. Jake did well single-handed in Magic Touch.

A good turnout on a fine day gave close racing with occasionally challenging conditions for short handed crews. Pura Vida looked ahead on the water but corrected times show a different picture with Seventh Heaven taking Race 2 and the fleet close together for both races. Nevertheless, Pura Vida held on to pip Seventh Heaven to this year's September Cup.
