2024: Pursuit Race 3

As you were!

Bill & Lynn were the gallant Race Officers aboard High Five - gallant because the wind was gusting 30 knots when they set out just after midday.

The race was in the North Lake, as was the Great North Swim. The Start: Mark10[P] the White Cross[S] Course: 6S/8P/13P & Repeat until 1545.

1st Seventh Heaven

2nd Mariska

3rd High Five

4th Jailbreak

Pete aboard Jailbreak shared the cool video below as High Five held them off. Bill commented "It looks a lot calmer on board than it actually was. Well done everyone all finished in the order we started just a bit closer."

Photo @ 15:37 showing all four competitors pretty close - the winds were strong but patchy in places. Well done all!

A good turnout on a fine day gave close racing with occasionally challenging conditions for short handed crews. Pura Vida looked ahead on the water but corrected times show a different picture with Seventh Heaven taking Race 2 and the fleet close together for both races. Nevertheless, Pura Vida held on to pip Seventh Heaven to this year's September Cup.
