Ewen & Jake have the Magic Touch

Saturday 17th July was meant to be the RNLI Allcomer's Regatta but this was rescheduled leaving a convenient space in the calendar to run the signature races abandoned a fortnight ago. The day started with the wind in the South, but at 1325 the lake was flat calm, so the start was postponed until 1400. Just in time the forecasted NW wind filled in and we managed to get two races off in 4-10kt NW winds.

Results for Races 4 & 5 can be seen below, and the overall Series Winner is Magic Touch, with Firefly as runner up. Congratulations to both.

A good turnout on a fine day gave close racing with occasionally challenging conditions for short handed crews. Pura Vida looked ahead on the water but corrected times show a different picture with Seventh Heaven taking Race 2 and the fleet close together for both races. Nevertheless, Pura Vida held on to pip Seventh Heaven to this year's September Cup.
