This pursuit actually came close to working according to the theory of pusuits- with all the boats very close after an average of 100 mins racing. Alchemy sadly retired as she sailed the wrong course - something that's happening to a lot of boats this summer.
The start was between Mark 12 in the North Lake and a prominent jetty. RWYC were also using Mark 12 as a turning mark but there were no issues I am pleased to report. The Course was then 6S 11P 8S 10S repeat as required. At the end of the race the yachts were all around mark 8 on the second lap. The Great North Swim was happening off Brockhole so the lake was busy and the ferries were having to dodge all kinds of priority traffic.
The results are below. The standing after three races is interesting as the discard takes effect. Just one race left now in this Series A pursuit.
