What an unusual day! At 0930 Ferry Nab was fog-bound and still. The first warning signal having been delayed by not less than 30 mins at 0740 it looked unlikely we'd be able to race. But the weather forecasts predicted wind around midday so we tentatively ventured North.
The wind arrived, a little stronger than forecast and flicking between WNW and W which made course setting a bit tricky. We managed to get three races in - but the first, which the RO set as one lap in case the newly arrived wind dropped or died, was over in less than ten minutes! Our shortest ever race - check the results as they're interesting.
Thanks to Ian and Josh who had a lot of work moving the marks - and to David, Jan, and David on the Race Control boat - and of course thanks to all the sailors who stayed cheerful for a good hour when it looked like there wasn't going to be a breath of wind :-)
