Volante almost overtakes the entire fleet!

A reasonable 11kt Southerly took us to the South lake. We welcomed Renegade to her first Summer Series race and Artemis to her first ever race.

Here's a new format to show how things progressed: -

The idea is to give a visual indication of how people did. I'll make one of these for each handicap race and an overall so we can see if it actually gives us any insight - it may just be a complicated statement of the obvious.


Start Time = Start Time foe each yacht.

Sailed for (mins) = Number of mins each yacht sailed for (we know when each started and everyone finished at the same time, but doesn't take account of whether a yacht took the 'no spinnaker' allowance, or whether the skipper failed to start at the alloted time.)

A good turnout on a fine day gave close racing with occasionally challenging conditions for short handed crews. Pura Vida looked ahead on the water but corrected times show a different picture with Seventh Heaven taking Race 2 and the fleet close together for both races. Nevertheless, Pura Vida held on to pip Seventh Heaven to this year's September Cup.
