| 24.07.2023 | SI 17 has been changed. It now reads: |
| 17.1 [DP] Check-Out and Check-In: A boat shall approach the Race Control or Rabbit boat before the warning signal and announce her intention to race either over VHF CH08 or by hailing. | |
| 17.2 [DP] A boat that retires from a race shall notify this by VHF or SMS as soon as possible. | |
| 17.3 [DP] RRS 40.1 shall apply (as provided by RRS 40.2) “Each competitor shall wear a personal flotation device except briefly while changing or adjusting clothing or personal equipment”. | |
| 17.4 Unless otherwise agreed by the Sailing Secretary, personal flotation device shall be taken to mean “life jacket worn outside all other clothing”. This changes RRS 40.1 | |
| 17.5 [DP] Automatic life jackets shall not be worn below deck. | |
| 17.6 The Race Officer may relax 17.3 to make the wearing of a personal flotation device the decision of a boat’s skipper. | |
