Inaugural Spinlock IRC GBR Inland Championship
The WCA celebrated it's semi-centenary this year, and the Winter Series is almost as old. The format of the series has changed over the years, and 2017 saw a major step in its evolution - to becoming an official IRC Championship event. The winner is entitled to enter the National Championships, and, as we like to say, if you can win her you can win anywhere!
The fleet was dual-scored with many boats entering the One Design competition for their class. This was the progenitor of the Windermere One Design Championshis which now run at the weekend after the IRC Championship.
Results
Spinlock IRC GBR Inland Championship
The IRC class was open to any yacht holding a valid 2017 IRC rating.
The same rating is used for the whole series.
SB20 Class Results
This one-design class was open to members of the UK SB20 Class Association.
Sonata Class Results
This one-design class was open to Sonata owners. The Sonata is popular on the lake.
First 21 Class Results
This one-design class was open to owners of Beneteau First 21 yachts. There are several models and it is not a strict one-design.
